Well I haven't done a CW contest in probably three years or more so this was a
real challenge for me. Spent the last two months practicing with Morse Runner to
get my speed up to something half respectable. Still there were stations that I
did not even dare call as their speed just blew me away. I was able to work some
of the speed demons after copying several QSOs and the help of Super Partial
Check.
At times, late at night, and on Sunday, my brain would go into freeze mode where
I could barely copy stations at a speed I usually have no problem with. Knew
then it was time to take a break and I took quite a few.
Good to see 10 meters open on Sunday and enjoyed running into some of the
regular RTTY contesters.
My LOTW CW DXCC status was 6 confirmed before the contest. If all the DX I
worked uses this system and enters their log I 'm guessing I could increase that
total 10 fold or more; wishful thinking.
When I was search and pounce I did have a problem with Writelog clearing an
entered call immediately after if was entered. Never happened when I was calling
CQ. If anyone knows the deal with that send me a quick e-mail.
