Tried an operation from summer cottage in Muskoka this year. Missed a few
multipliers due to having no local stations to work on 10 & 15, compared to
previous efforts from Ottawa. We added 6m this year but couldn't work anyone !
But the main story was QRN...S9+++ all over southern Ontario and Quebec at any
time there was propagation on the low bands. This really impacted the results
on the low bands, especially 80m phone. But it was a fun operation
regardless.
Equipment: Drake TR-7, Kenwood TS-680S, Yaesu FT-290R+20W amp
Antennas: 160m Inv.Vee, 80m quarter wave vertical, 14AVQ vert. for 10-40m,
6m dipole, 2m 5 element Yagi
