My first WAE and tried to learn the QTC thing. It sure was easy with N1MM Logger
EXCEPT when the call in the QTC is LX/DL1EKC/P. N1MM could NOT handle the two
"/" in the call. Sorry to HA7RY and DL0XM, I could not send the QTCs since the
first QTC would have been LX/DL1EKC/P and the computer froze up! It was not
until I changed the station to LX/DL1EKC could I continue with the contest. How
embarrassing.
80 M was very noisy and stations were generally weak; thanks to CU2A for giving
me a new one on 80 M. 40 M was the best band for me, Eu was very weak on
Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon here.
It was alot of fun, now that I did it once I will do it again next year. I was
frustrated that by Saturday evening it was hard to find new Eu stations on 40
M.
Antennas: 80 M vertical; 40 M vertical; G5RV-type for 20M up 20 meters.
