Comments:

Murphy decided to visit my QTH this weekend.
I had originally decided to attend my son's football game on Saturday and start
the contest 3 hours late (his team won 24 - 0). Thought I could catch up by
staying up later than usual and operate more aggressively than usual (not!). I
went into the weekend with a little upper repiratory cold but by Sunday
afternoon, even using the voice keyer a lot, I developed laryngitis and could
hardly speak by Sunday evening. The station had been working okay until the 6
meter sporadic eve opening Sunday when my IC746 died on transmit (my primary 6
and 2m radio). I was unable to get it going and decided to throw in the towel
and watch Sunday night football (go Ravens!). There was a time only a few years
ago that any score over 100K would be fantastic but I have recently been
breaking the 200K point level and this result is somewhat disapointing. Maybe
next time...

Ed K3DNE
