I love the CQP. It's like a mini-Sweepstakes during the day, and a CA county QSO
party at night where you get work your pals around the state.
Thanks to Steppir (2-el yagi and Big IR vertical)and some ingenuity, I now have
antennas in my height-limited neighborhood that allow me to RUN stations on
40-20-15. What fun!
With the new ANT set up, I moved my motor-tuned 80/160 ANT near the solar panels
for hot water on the roof. When I ran power on those bands it started keying the
water circulation relay near the hot water heaters inside. The clacking sounded
like those old rack-mounted KW rigs I used to see as a kid.
