Comments:
I have been operating CQP since 1991. This year was extremely differnt with
conditions. No 10 meters and no 15 meters virtually at all. So focus was on
20, 40, and 80 meters. I knew it was going to be extremely tuff without any 10
and 15 meter contacts. I was behind from tne start, and it continued has the
contest progress. For some reason I was not prepared for this type of
conditions. I did not operate the entire contest. I gave up on Sunday
afternoon around 1759Z. Seeing reports afterwards, I guess I should of stuck it
out. For some reason I cannot explain, I was not psyhocologically prepared for
this one. Sunday afternoon was pretty try, and slim. I stop operating at
1759Z, and it seems by seeing some reports and comments that 15 opened after
that for a short period of time. Congrats to those that stuck it out until the
end. Looking back, I guess I should of done that. Can't explain why. One
thing that is nice is that there is always next year. Sad thing is that I have
won the Low Power Category for 12 years strait. I know that has come to an end.
What is nice, we got the sweep of the counties, and we can always start over
next year. Best to everyone.
