What a blast!
Interesting conditions for the Solar numbers dealt, the band was a bit noisy at
times, but pulled a bunch out of the noise, the G5RV on rcv helps a lot! Just
returned from the Asia Pacific DX Convention in Osaka where there was some
discussion on the decline of JA Hams. Hard to tell from this weekend, had my
best run of JA's since relocating down here in 2003. Worked a few more JA's
than USA!!
Had good EU openings both nights, well after my sunset, More EU sigs the second
night, Signals were good, but conditions made for tough copy here, by 1100UTC,
the din was unreadable and too much effort, so decided to call it a night.
It's great fun to work the band all day long from W1's in the morning working
the band right across to EU. I seem to have a tough time with central Asia and
Africa from here.
Nice to work a lot of new calls, along with the regulars.
Thanks to all for the Q's.
Why do some send their exchange before the call is confirmed?, then they assume
you do not need any fills and move on...Had heavy QSB at times, so there will be
several NIL's
CU in the next one...
