Comments:
Based on the score from two years ago, I thought that reaching 2M wouldn't be
too hard even with lower sunspot numbers. Well, I didn't reach that goal and
this time the score was almost 1M lower.
I tried to spend more time looking for mults since running didn't produce good
rates anyway, but for some reason it was hard to either find new mults or to be
heard on lower bands.
40 was a real puzzle. Didn't expect that it would be almost useless during the
night. There was no opening for EU sunrise, but throughuout the day Europeans
were coming in really loud. When heard DF0CG at 11:30 AM EST, thought that
something was wrong with the rig so it wasn't displaying the right frequency.
The best moment was Sunday between 3 and 4 PM local time. During that time (well
before the sunset) worked 8Q7DV, A61AJ, JA5BJC and few other Europeans on 40.
It's great to participate in this contest and at the same time forget about the
work and all the chores at home. Hope to be on next year, even if there are no
sunspots at all.
