10 years after CN2EME, my second trip to Morroco...
My objective was just to take part, using simple equipment...

Has been a great fun, and the result is absolutely unexpected
taking into account the modest equipment used and the "near to
solar minimum" condx...
This is mainly due to Andre's exceptionnal location 100m away from
the Ocean, with maritime take-off to the Americas, Japan and
western Europe... On top of the rest the site is also extremely
radioelectricaly quiet (a real pleasure when you are used to live
near a 380kV power line).
The main problem I encountered, has been that turning the antenna
away from EU would immediately result in the loss of
the CQ frequency... I probably missed a few mults due to this...
Also missed a few "found mults" like S9, V5, HC, OA,... who had
strong signals but were focused on working W's only ...
Very sorry for JA friends (only 51 JA's in log) but JA signals were
strongly affected by echo and Eu-QRM (LP could have been better but
as mentionned above turning the antenna to LP would immediately result
in my frequency being stollen...)
N1MM freeware performed perfectly as well as the rest of the
equipment (my 735 is more than 15 years old...)

Thanks to Andre HB9HLM/CN2DX, Mohamed CN8PA and all the CN friends
met during the week.
Also thanks to Jim W7EJ/CN2R for the "guided tour" of his
exceptional contest site. Also thanks to the ANART for nice callsign !
More comments, pictures and stats will follow soon on
http://f6irf.blogspot.com/ and in french on http://cn2ww.blogspot.com/

Conventional QSL via EA7FTR only
Electronic confirmation through LOTW

See you soon again from Morocco - I'll go back, Inshallah !!!
Patrick
