Comments:

The only resonant antenna I had was a 160 meter 1/4 wave sloper attached to the
tower at 70 feet. My other antennas are down due to downsizing station.

I thought I would get the 160 meter antanna up and play in the contest and add
to my 160 DXCC totals, since I've never had a 160 antenna before. When I got
the antenna tuned, I noticed a 20+ db over 9 line noise on 160! Whew, this was
going to be tuff! Even with DSP and noise blanking I was able to only hear 2 or
3 European stations during the entire contest on 160 and they couldn't hear me.
I did hear TZ9A briefly on 160 but the pileup was too much for my barefoot sigs.
They really had a good signal for me to hear even a peep!

Disappointed, I played a few minutes on the other bands (with a tuner!) and
shut it off.

I'll have to get the noise problem fixed and complete the other antennas before
I try this again...
