Comments:

When I left after CQWW Phone, EVERYTHING at the station was working. 4 weeks
later, 3 of the 4 Square elements were broken, the top 20 meter rotator stopped
turning, the SWR on the 2 element 160 array was bad and my antenna switch was
really flakey.

However, it didn't seem to matter as far as the 4 Square was concerned. The SWR
was fine, the RX on it was great, and if I couldn't make the QSO on it, the
dipole did the job. Nothing like good low band conditions.

I really need to learn the tricks of propagation from Northeast NA as I just
don't have the mults. I worked only ONE JA. I found him on 20m late in the
contest. Only 4 Oceania.

For the first time ever, I overslept. At 1000 Sunday, I set the alarm for 90
minutes and put it in my pocket. I woke up at 1330, missing what was apparently
great conditions on 20m to EU.

73, Ken, K6LA / VY2TT
