Comments:
Wasn't sure what to expect in this one. All day Friday didn't hear a peep on
10. Friday night had only one completed QSO. Had several calls, but bursts of
scatter too short for a 2-way. Saturday morning also started slow, but finally
things started happening, with good openings to SA and the west coast. Took
some time off later in the afternoon to help my Grandson study for his general
test, and for supper. Got back to the radio and found a great E skip opening to
VA/MD/DE/NJ. Had a great run for 45 minutes and then went to a pre-planned
movie. Sunday was a bit slower, but got some good DX. Heard EA1, but never
worked the continent. EA8 the best going east, several ZL going west. All in
all, not bad for the bottom of the cycle (almost). Things basically ended at
21:30, but kept an ear on the band until the end, resulting in only a couple of
additional contacts.
The score does not include one SSB contact made by request.
