Comments:

Hard to run up much of a total of DX at this point in the cycle. Nothing but
scatter on Friday night but lots of very productive Es on Saturday as well as
ZS, 5U, 6W, ZL, EA8 and KH6. The rest of the countries worked were south as far
as LU/Y. The big surprise was a call from OH6NIO at 23:35 Sunday followed by
OH5UFO. At this time the band had reopened to VE1/VE9/VO and some NE W's.
Suspect this was auroral/auroral-E but much less "Au-like " than I'm used to on
VHF! Nice way to end the contest. CCO trying as usual to maximize the Club score
but those pipe-lines to Tn and Mn must have helped the competition too!

TS-950SDX/AL1200 plus modified 105BA at 50'. Stubborn cold rotator but almost
all contacts in the southern 180 degrees with a South stop! Lots worked off the
back or side.

Thanks for all the Q's folks and good luck in the RAC Winter Contest and/or the
Stew Perry next weekend!

73 Bob VE3KZ
