Comments:
As always, after a sprint you feel more worn out than you should from a four
hour contest. This one, as others have noted was WORK.
I was out of the box with 28 QSOs in the first fiteeen minutes, but then hit a
wall on 20. I saw I was quickly sliding behind the guys in the midwest and west
coast. By the second hour I was several dozen behind guys on the west coast.
However, using two radios really helped and I wound up with around 52 band
changes....trolling on one band with CQs, picking up lots of number ones and
twos while S/Ping on the other band. After the first half hour the signals on 20
were mostly ESP. I think the big antennas really helped on that band after
that. As a matter of fact, I think the big antennas really helped on all bands,
since the skip turned very long in a hurry.
Thanks for all the QSOs and I may even hit the CW Sprint if I get back from the
Orlando Hamfest in time.
