Comments:
Was totally surprised I was heard at all on 160. Several asked me to go there
so I loaded up my 80 mtr dipole running my trusty 30 watts. The rest is
history. 32 counties later. Sure paid off to check 160 the last few minutes of
the contest. Picked up OK1RF and SP3KEY for number 31 and 32 which took me over
the Million.
Lost power for several hours Saturday with very high winds. Back to basic's...
pencil, paper log, hand key and rig operated on a battery.
Only other antenna here was my Butternut all band Vertical.
Spent most of my on air time in the S&P mode.
Thanks to all that that worked me... Made for an interesting weekend.
