Comments:

What a great low SSN weekend! I want to give special thanks to three of our
op's for a yeoman effort that was not much fun. Ed (N3ED) and Nick (N3NA) did
all of the 160M operating. They also did most of the 10M operating. Tom (N2SR)
manned the 2nd radio on 20M and worked with Dave running down most of the packet
spots. All those hours of tuning bands were the potential for a QSO was very
limited took a great deal of dedication and helped our score enormously!

I don't have to say much about our 40M specialist. He is simply one of the
greatest! John (W8FJ) made nearly every QSO on 40M. He sat there from late
afternoon till a bit after 15M opened up to europe. Great job, John

Dave (N3RD) did 20M this year. It has been a while since he did anything but
15M during the day. His efforts were outstanding, even though we discovered
that I had forgotten to plug in the stack control line until the second day.
Considering that he was disconnected from the antennas whenever Tom worked a
mult, this was a truly super effort as well.

Our 15M results were right there with the "Big Multi's". Ray (K9RS) did nearly
all of the 15M operating. He was hampered by a failure in the antenna switching
system that prevented him from switching to the south stack when needed, but his
score speaks for itself.

I did nearly all of the 80M operation for the first time and had a ball. The
second night I had to quit a bit early and Ray, Ed and Nick backed me up. The
band was dead quiet most of the time and I could hear even the weakest stations.
I didn't realize so many QRP'rs would have the fortitude to work 80M in a DX
contest, but I worked quite a few of them.

We used N1MM for the first time and were satisfied that it is a definite keeper,
albeit in need of a few more tweaks - especially the band change counter on the
second day! The WinKey's on two of the stations were also erratic. All of the
rigs, computers and the network held up very well. The Antenna modifications we
made over the Summer proved that they were worth the effort.

Thanks to all who called us and for all those DXpeditions for the multipliers.
Special thanks also to John, HS0ZDJ, who heard us on 80M to make it a 4 band
weekend!

See you in the SSB contest if we can figure out how to make N1MM work on SSB.

73 de Sig, N3RS
