Comments:

It's been awhile since I did the full 48 hours. Then it proved to be a mistake,
now it just showed that I haven't learned much from it. While taking a break the
first night was out of question at rates of 70-80, the second morning wasn't
that good at all. At that time, however, I was about 220 Q's ahead of my last
year rate sheet and was hoping that 15 would stay open to EU for longer than on
Saturday. So, there I went. The adrenalin gained from the 20/15 opening kept me
going for while but not until the end. The last 10 hours it was just like
someone else is operating and I'm just watching the show. The guy wasn't any
good though.
Finished with 105 Q's more, 6 mults less and 76K more than the last year.

Contest's low point: the time spent to get the callsign out of one SA station
with US operator on 80 meters. He simply ignored me when I asked him for his
call during the first QSO and I had to break the pile-up one more time. The
whole affair took 15 minutes. During this period he actually signed once but was
completely covered by some early callers.

Contest's highlight: the 3 QSO's with one of my best friends - LZ3FN. He and his
wife were expecting their first kid sometime during the weekend. Each time he
called I was asking "?" and he was responding "Not yet". They got a beautiful
baby dаughter on Monday after the contest.

Congratulations to N2NT and N9RV (great comeback, Pat !) for their superb scores
!

Thanks to everyone who called and especially to those who moved to another band
for me.

My sincere thanks to WA3FET for letting me operate his station and fixing the
things I break.

73, Alex
