Antennas:

Cushcraft 3 el Tribander up 35 feet

2 el 40 Meter Yagi up 60 feet.

1/4 wavelength 80 meter sloper.

Transceiver: FT-1000 MP set at 5 watts output.

Conditions were not good. I never heard a mainland 10 meter station. I did
briefly hear some Central and South American stations. ...and the bottom is yet
to come!

I was amazed at how well the 80 meter sloper worked, and many stations answered
my CQs, including some on the east coast. I noticed after the contest that I
actally got spotted a few times on 80!

While 38 hours may not look like a lot of operating time, there were hours where
I only made 2 or 3 contacts. So it wasn't hard to find time to take off without
thinking you were actaully missing something.

Even with lousy condx, this is still a lot of fun at 66 years old.
