First ever time in this contest ...... unfortunately Murphy
decided that antennas should be liberally covered in Ice .... after the first
couple of hours .... consequently I had to
reduce power to about 300 watts or so and eventually had to drop Amp entirely
.... so this was a HP/LP operation so to speak ..
should have scheduled operating times so that I had maxed in the
restricted category ... score would not have been altered noticeably ..
looks like I actually operated for about 14/15 hours due to
Chaufeuring duties on a couple of occasions and watched
Montreal beat NY 1-0 and went to bed about 4 hours before the
contest officially ended .... some good dx on the low bands to VK/ZL
seems like a fun contest ........
