Comments:

Thanks to Tom & Midge for the quick contest fix & the incredible corn beef
dinner Friday night. Their QTH is a slice of heaven.

This weekend was a few "firsts" for me. The corn beef, the contest, and the
logging software.

Doing this from the west coast with condx less than perfect was pretty crazy, I
realize that... but this contest is alot of fun. I love the format, and I
really wanted to give win-test a run. Now I'm hooked on both.

*re: win-test: There are many issues with documentation yet to be provided,
there just is none, but I got through most of it. Still need ALOT of
information including Advanced SO2R scenario definitions. (anyone care to share
their findings or chat win-test please email me, thanks)

As for RDXC - BE FOREWARNED: This contest will be HUGE when the cycle peaks!

Surprise Openings:

As everyone knows from the west, the bands were "dead" all weekend. With 15m
completely flat & too early to work anything on 40, I put the 2nd radio on 15
and pointed to JA. Instantly a +20db JA calls in. Then another, all 599++.
Then it stopped. Just no activity.

Then, tried 10m, of course "dead". CQ'd and surprise.... 2 ZL's, a JA, and
KG6DX, all 599! That was it, no more callers.

Bands were open, no one was home!

Thanks for a good time RDXC! Let's hope for better advertising for next
year...

CU in WPX from NK7U M/M.
