Rain and 60mph winds on Saturday gave me S9 noise levels on 80 and 40, S7 on 20
and S3 on 15. Without my 580-foot Beverage I would not have been able to work 80
percent of the stations I did on 80! A much lower score this year than last due
mostly to the fact that I had no tri-bander up. On 15 I relied an my 1/4-wave
40-meter vertical and it worked fairly well. I was very surprised at how few
Asian stations were listening up on 40 Saturday morning...lots of stuff I
could've worked but none QSX...BCB QRM I suppose.
