Comments:

Lots of fun with the big guns off at Dayton. I worked Sunday only when the local
camping was rained out for the long weekend in Canada. It was amazing having 10m
open most of the day, starting around 11 am and going until after 5 pm. The
bands were generally nice and slow with only a few pile-ups to wade through
using low power. AA3B reported skew on the cluster but the only time I tried it
I was called by an HB9 for no points. I heard at least as many stations as I
worked but low power doesn't cut it with high absorption and low ion count. My
goal steadily went up from 10 qs to 1K points to 50 qs to 10K points. With an
hour to go I needed 17 qs to reach 100 and made 15. Even 40m opened in the last
10 minutes for a couple of qs.

Tnx to the contest organizers for three emails and a surface post promoting the
contest. Lots of stations from all over SA and lots of members. Hopefully next
year the bands will help the qrpers.

Congrats to VE3KZ for a great score. But only S9 here this time, Bob
