Comments:
In this contest I planned to use a smaller team with the best
operators that have been home grown here at KB1H. N1XS came
from Texas but he truely is "one of us".
We decided on M/2 as we had a good crew and enough operators
to give this a serious effort. After our 2nd place finish last
year in M/S we felt our best chance to compete was in M/2.
More than doubled last year's score and felt we had given it
our best and maybe a winning effort. Listening to reports on
3830 we may have finished second. We are OK with that as we
made such a huge improvement that we felt we gave all we could
and it seems as though there is always someone in front of us,
A few points were proven here at KB1H. We can turn in a decent
score but operator management is critical to this.
This is a great contest and we were glad to make the NZ1 prefix
a multipler for many.
I have to thank the great crew that operated this contest and
also all the stations that gave us the QSOs.
I don't know if I will ever assembled a better crew that this
past weekend but we gave it our best.
