Comments:

What a weird & wonderful contest ! The temperature was never higher than 63
degrees, no bugs, and no visits from law enforcement (could it be that they
were all home working the E opening too ?). You know that 6m is hot when a
rover running 80 watts and a dipole at 10' can sit on 50.323 and run stations,
what a blast. A trip down to the CW part of 6m had similar results. I had my
2m rig parked on 144.170 using that to liason with other stations to run the
microwave bands when W2SZ started to pound in. A switch to 2m resulted in
over a dozen 2m E contacts including one very excited guys in NY who was
running 50 watts into a loop in his apartment. During the E opening I listened
& called CQ on 222 several times with nothing heard. 73, Jon - W0ZQ
