Comments:

Ted, N9NB, joined me for this one, his first serious contest in thirty years. We
had a good time. We worked hard, the equipment all worked well, local weather
was good, line noise low, and the conditions seemed pretty good. 15 meters did
not open to JA, or really all that well to EU, but 10 meters did open a bit to
EU. 40 was very good to EU and JA/Asia.

It was fun to watch the spots for the WRTC teams, and they were quite workable
on bands like 80 meter CW where we "pointed and shot" our way down the list.
Their 700W was a nice extra and made it much better to copy them.

Congrats to locals K5NA (K5NA and N5ZC) who really trounced us in a local
"pizza bet," and to NX5M for somehow rebuilding his 20 meter antenna system and
some of his station in the two weeks preceeding the IARU.

All in all, some wonderful scores, and another very exciting IARU contest.
W1AW/4 and NU1AW/8 both did a good job of being loud and present. Thanks for
the ARRL for its support.
