Wow, what a ride. At the start, conditions cratered and it looked like a long
24 hours ahead; but every hour it improved. In fact, at one point in the
middle of the night, no less than five bands were open at once. All that
activity made the typically slow nighttime hours fly by.
My goal was a million points, but halfway into it, that seemed unlikely. As it
turned out, the score is a personal best. Even at the cycle bottom, the bands
are still full of surprises.
Congratulations to all of the WRTC participants including Northwest operators
VE7FO, N0AX, and KL9A. It looks like team VE3EJ and VE7FO may have won it â??
if so, congrats guys!
Also, congratulations to WB9Z and W7WA on great efforts. Thanks to everyone
for the Qs and the fun.
