Comments:

One point... what can I say, but lucky to get one QSO. A very heavy snowstorm
closed the roads and cancelled my plans to operate s/o portable from rural
EM08. I operated from home for a few hours Saturday afternoon. There was a
surprise 6 Meter Es opening starting around 2300 UTC to the southeastern
states. Most of the signals were weak and skipping overhead on west to N0LL and
KB0HH. Could hear them running the 4s. I had no luck working anyone at all with
my 10 watts and indoor attic dipole. Finally at 2345 UTC a loud K5IX EL29 Texas
popped up on 50.125 and we easily exchanged grids. I had to leave for work
(night shift at the hospital) a few minutes later. He was my only QSO in the
contest.
