Comments:
Prior to the contest, I had only made 1 QSO on 160 in the 2+ years since getting
my license. On Friday, I decided to participate in the contest so I used my
open wire fed doublet (45' high) as a Marconi T. I put down one ground radial
Friday evening but added 7 more Saturday morning. Had some problems with
impedence matching and RF in the shack which I need to resolve (had to keep my
power output below 350w) but overall it worked great as both a rx and tx
antenna. Had lots of fun...looking forward to getting on top band much more
often.
