Greetings OM's & YL's! This is officially the first time the Russell County
Radio Club has participated in any contest. WX4MAP-Marc Pope operated the CW
station and WB4GLJ-John Wingard handled SSB ops. Marc has been bitten by the
CW bug again after finally dusting off his straight key from about 15 years of
dormancy! The Herring's: WX4JIM-Jim and KI4NGX-Karen provided assistance with
logging, refreshment fetching, and moral support. Karen provided all the
goodies (homemade Chili Dogs, homemade cookies and of course RC (Russell
County) Colas).
We look forward to the AL QSO PARTY 2008!
