Comments:
Finally got my little antennas up on the chimney a few months ago, so I didn't
have to haul everything out of the shed on the weekend of a VHF contest and put
it up with portable masts lashed to a tree this year....
Conditions weren't great. There were a few openings, but things never went
full throttle for me. I did work three new grids, so that's always a plus.
AND I worked my first DX on 6 meters, thanks to VP5KE. One call and he was in
the log. I was somewhat shocked! Thanks OM!
Only disappointment was that the 1296 didn't work. I probably need some new
feedline. But it was still fun.
Had a nice little run on CW on both 6 and 2 late on Sunday for a bunch of new
mults. Thanks for all the Q's. Lots of fun to be on the higher bands.
