Comments:
Condx were 100% Normal. I did not encounter any ducting, or E-Skip of any kind.
I was very suprised at the lack of activity, the regulars were on and on in
great fashion as usual however. Just wish the ARRL would make the test more
compeditive by offering more catagories.. 'Limited Single Op' would be nice..
qrp ( 5w or less )
Low power (up to 150w) Medium Power ( up to 700 ) and then High Power ( above
700 Watts ) Or sompthing to that effect.. its just a thought.
Will be my last test from this location as my CC&R's wont allow 'REAL'
antennas.. in 'Real' Places, and that was the most frustrating issue of this
contest for me. Looks like I will be looking for a multi-group for the up and
comming contests.
Station:
2m 5 Ele LVA Yagi @ 20' 60 Watts ( mostly CW )
432 11 ele Directive Yagi @ 17' 60 watts ( mostly CW )
Also I herd only 1 meteor ping on 2m while running a sked ( did not complete )
BEST DX 2m - FN43
BEST DX 432 - FN43
I'de also like to add that I was VERY Impressd with operator courtesy and not
crowding close together.. granted I was not @ a hill top with adaquate antennas
, however it was noted and I was again very pleased with this.
Any one looking for a Die Hard weak sig op in the northeast??
73 from fn20vg for now!
