There may be some extra bonus points as well.
WV is only about 80 miles away, but the state is too small to run a good party
without some serious organizing. Also, it is not mobile friendly - it seems all
the roads are in valleys.
I'd love to see the sponsors move the contest up a week, to coincide with the
June VHF QSO Party. That happened by accident a couple of years ago, and I had
a fun time doing VHF from some hilltops in rare grid squares, and operating the
WVQP en route between them.
