Comments:
Since our local club didn't participate this year, I operated casually from my
QTH in 1D category running 100 watts with the FT-990.Has been a few years since
I acutally operated in Field Day, so it was rather fun working some of the
newcomers,particularly the kids who were making contacts for the first time.
Even convinced Allan VE1AWN to join me for a few hours to work some CW after a
more than 20 yr.hiatus from the hobby.He really enjoyed himself and it was a
pleasure to see him back on the key again.
Maybe next year we will get in the real field again.73,Bill VY2LI
