The call W6PT is the call sign of the San Diego DX Club.
The group arrived at the Desert View Tower, our Imperial county site, on Friday
morning to high winds and a real chill in the air. Our antennas were assembled
and left in a near, very near, ground position. We all said a little prayer
for no wind on Saturday morining and our prayers were answered. There was some
wind but not enough to worry about though the night temps were in the low
forties. We found the bands to be less than last year and our lower score
refects that. A new antenna for 160/80 was installed and provided very good
results.
Thanks to all those who worked us. There's always next year.
