Thanks to CV5K, I was not "skunked" on 10 meters. Hopefully this is as bad as
it gets, eh?
I didn't get started until 1400Z Saturday morning due to being out of town on a
business trip. I just can't seem to get my boss to consult the WA7BNM contest
calendar before scheduling trips. Oh well, it was Miami - South Beach, and it
was 81 degrees...
Once again K0RC (Bob) and I had another horse race on the W1VE scoreboard. I
wanted to pack it in early Sunday due to the poor band conditions on 10 and 15
meters, but my old scoreboard buddy came charging up out of the pack, with his
sights on passing me. So, thanks to Bob, I spent most of Sunday trying my best
to hold off his charge. What a great motivational tool, even for those of us
not in one of the top positions.
