Comments:
Yes, I know this is primarily a PHONE contest, but 234 of my 239 QSOs were on
CW. I refuse to be swayed by reality! There was considerable excitement on
Sunday morning. I found a beam heading of 210 degrees served me well, with
coverage of most of the skip zones, as well as backscatter. Occasionally I
might have to modify the heading a little. This was the maiden voyage for my K3
on 6 meters, and it passed each and every test with flying colors. It has now
been in my possession for almost 5 months, and I like it more each day. The
K3 is the perfect radio for ME, not necessarily for everyone else.
Rig K3 to T E Systems amp 300 watts
Antenna: Ariane 7 element on 29 foot boom. Company no longer in business,
which ia a shame!
