Comments:

Congrats to W1UE for a great effort and score! Interestingly, our band numbers
were fairly similar, but he had a higher QSO point total, tipping the scales.
My claimed score might be a little low due to an old country file, but not that
much better!

I havent spent a lot of time analyzing the log, but high rate hour here was 13Z
on Saturday at 160 QSO's on 15 and 20 meters.

20 meters was of course awesome with some great signals both short and long
path out of the far east and just about everywhere else! 40M was also very
good with lots of early morning Asia activity for some nice new double mults.

Had some minor technical issues here, but main problem was a storm that went
through Friday night, forcing some downtime due to nearby lightning, as well as
the associated noise. Interestingly, noises seemed quieter but more persistent
on Saturday evening, with some very loud intermittent line noise on 40 and
crashes making copy very difficult. Fatigue set in late Saturday night and I
actually fell asleep in the chair while CQing on 40, which took me out for over
an hour on what would normally be fairly prime time, but was unusualy slow due
to conditions.

The nice 15 meter SWestern EU opening from Saturday never materialized on
Sunday, making for a very dull struggle on that band.

Two hours from the end running 20 and 40 I had a huge short-term rate going
when SX1L or someone posing as that station started harrassing me on 40, first
trying to steal the frequency and when that didnt work, started impersonating
other stations. I was finally forced to leave the frequency or risk ending up
with a bunch of bogus contacts in the log. After 40 hours or so on the air,
that bout of misconduct was hard to deal with emotionally.

Next year: more better planning with mandatory sleep schedule I think...a
sunspot would be nice as well!
