Wow, I had alot of fun this contest! I blasted my previous best record by more
than double, I made 930 QSOs. 15 meters was open for 3 hours on saturday and
again on sunday. Nice quiet band but my QSO rate was half my rate on 20 meters.
Unbelievable QRM on 20 meters.
With almost a thousand QSOs I sorta thought I'd do better than 120,000 points,
though. Oh right, this is a DX contest. I needed to work on more multipliers. I
couldn't make any runs into Europe, I had to search and pounce to get some
multipliers. My strategy may have been off, I thought I'd rack up points and
loads of QSOs running into the lower 48 and get a few multipliers in Europe and
Asia. But the lack of multipliers brought my score down. This is my third CQ
contest. I'm learning..
