Well, the NS announcement said: 
"Try to stay below 7040 to minimize QRM for the Foxhunters."
After 5 minutes I figured out everybody was ABOVE 7040.
After that I had to play catchup...
Also, my logging progam was still set for Sweepstakes, so it 
was autofilling the call when I tuned onto a frequency. This 
is trouble in a sprint where you jump back and forth between 
two frequencies - it autofills the old call and I had to pay 
attention and erase before typing the new call. Ain't computers 
wonderful?
I heard a KH6 and some others on 40m but couldn't connect. Then 
it was time to move up to 80m. I saved a minute for 160m and got 
two locals - Thanks!
