Comments:
A new QSO record for us. Last year we had 1434 QSO's and this year we hit 1627!
I did not know what to expect with the solar reports before the contest, but
conditions were better then I expected.
We missed NWT & PR.
Countries worked: 9A, CT, DL, E7, EI, F, G, OM,ON, OZ, PA, SV, CM, FM, HI,
HK0/a, J3, XE, ZF, CX, FY, HC, P4, PJ2
This was a lot different than the 74 entities worked the previous week in CQ WW
CW.
On the drive out to The Farm, Bob and I saw a car with the license plate of
"PY HUNTR". We should have caught up to them as we never worked a PY!
The QSO count when we ended the first night was about 100 more than last year.
Things were looking good at that point and it proved to be true to the end of
the contest.
We hope conditions are better for CQ 160. There should be more DX active for
that one.
