Comments:
As others have commented propagation was not the best from down here in the
southwest. Used a K3 with second RX for diversity reception with a K9AY loop
array and a N6RK tuned 4 meter diameter coax loop. The latter antenna works
suprisingly well for something so small and easy to build. Knocks the major
local noise source down to tolerable levels even without the noise blanker.
Best DX was CE1/K7CA again this year by a wide margin. FM5CD was second and a
couple of other Carribean stations and Hawaii were all tied for third.
Thanks for all of the top band fun. See you in the CQ 160 CW test next month.
