Comments:
Caught the short E opening into FN41 area Sunday morning .... fun to hear
signals ! Other than that not too much to report on. As usual for this time
of year lots of QSB on the lower bands, and on occasion a station 400 miles
away would float above the noise for one minute, then be gone forever. 902 and
up were very difficult. Thanks to KB9C/R and KC0IYT/R who braved the elements.
Worked KC0IYT/R on 10GHz from his two grids on snow scatter using two watts and
a 17 dB horn from my driveway at home .... QRN from the neighbors barking dogs.
Had a nice 5760 Q with him at about 17 miles on a brute force path through the
leafless trees & off of downtown Mpls buildings ... 2 watts and 27 dBi dish.
CU in the MnQP Feb 7 as W0ZQ/m ! 73, Jon
