Comments:
Between using a K3 in a contest for the first time, running high power with
decent antennas from NR4M, and condx, this contest was kind of a mixed (but fun
as always) bag. First impressions of the K3 are excellent. CW in general and QSK
with the 2000A is superb. On 80, used diversity with the second receiver and it
frequently helped when the 4sq was pointing NW and someone called from another
direction. The K3 has one feature that kind of bothered me. That is the "stereo
affect audio". I kept thinking I didn't have the earphones plugged all the way
in. I think there's a way to defeat that. I heard N9RV and WW2Y once each, but
no Q, so missed MT and NE. Rich, KL7RA was loud on 40 and 80. Due to a
miss-communication I was registered to be using the call NR4M from NR4M, but
used my own call from NR4M. Hope that's not going to be a problem for the team.
