On Sunday around 2200 UTC tried to work K3LR on 10 meters. QRN was S8 and could
not hear him. Noise did not go away until the band closed and I missed the
opening. Oh, well, always next year.
During my stay Martinique was experiencing a general strike that had lasted
over four weeks. Food and petro were in short supply. I needed some BNC adptors
for my K3 but all the stores were closed so never got to try out this rig and
just used the FT 1000MP.
Two days after I left, the strike was over.
