I interleaved the Russian DX with the BARTG RTTY and "honey do's." No strategy,
other than to chase some DX action.
I began the RDX at its starting time, 0600 local time in New Mexico. I should
have stayed in bed for the first two hours--only 25 Qs made. All signals heard
were worked, though. It was mid to late morning before 20 meters picked up.
Thank goodness I'm just a little pistol whose only job is to hand out some Qs
to the Big Dogs!
My hearing is too poor to make a serious go at SSB, but I even managed to coax
them for a few phone ops in the Western Hemisphere.
It was good fun, mixing the two contests, and I look forward to next year's
outing. Thanks!
