Comments:
The only South American Prefixes I heard were below 14025KHz and 7025KHz. I saw
several SAm prefixes posted on the DXscape Cluster for 10 meters but they were
all spotted by stations in the East and Southern Coastal areas. I heard none
here in California. I heard a couple of XE's but was unable to work them on 10.
It appeared that my wire antennas and 100 watts were not heard. I did work a JA
station on 40, late Saturday night, and an EA6 on 20, just before the end of
the contest. Looking in my station files I see that last years score in the
same contest was also 14 QSO's, but 4 of those were South American prefixes, so
I take that to mean that this year conditions were worse toward South America
than last year. I hope conditions are better for next year. Bert, K6CSL
