Limited activity in this contest on Saturday afternoon/evening with my QRP
field day setup to check it out prior to ARRL FD next month. In fact, my
regular HF station has been packed for months and I set up this QRP station and
antenna on Saturday for a few hours.
I was rather impressed to be heard from W6 not only at locations like Alaska
but also by nearly twenty EU big guns, I did not expect that at all. The band
seemed to be in very good shape after sunset on Saturday. Really enjoyed the
test with a little boxy MFJ radio.
Had only about one Run of about 10 QSOs. The rest was S&P.
Only two JA contacts and not many more have been heard.
