Rig: Yaesu FT-1000MP MK-V Field 50 Watts
Ant: 7-El Hy-Gain TH7DX at 90' and Inverted 40-m VEE at 90'.
Computer crashed when generator power was lost.
Lots of fun hand-logging was followed by 2-hours of data entry.
Pleasantly surprised about N1MM-Logger Time-Stamp Interpolation.
SRI: I forced a few contesters to use their â??QSO B4â?? function key.
When hand-logging, does anyone remember using a â??Dupe Sheetâ???
During the previous weekend 20 meters stayed open very late.
But Saturday night it closed early, so I switched to 40 meters.
Although a storm transitioned the area Thursday and Friday,
the WX cleared by Saturday morning, so the QRN was minimal.
I was amazed at strong mobiles signals. Some QRP stations
(i.e., AA7GX) were camping along the Grand Canyon North Rim
and were having a wonderful outing. Twice we worked stations
near Tucson, AZ on Mt. Lemmon (K7RST-9A AND W7SA-4A).
I wonder if these two groups coordinated,
and how well the bands were shared on the mountain top.
FD is supposed to be a fun event . . .
I was so inspired with those campers that I took time out
Saturday afternoon to do a little gardening.
Did you know that it is good therapy to pull weeds?
Thanks to all. 73 Rita - KK7YL
