Comments:
Congrats to the many fine scores across NA - and to the intense local
competitors here in central Texas. In addition to the team groupings, these ad
hoc regional shootouts add a delightful dimension to the NAQP.
It was terrific to spend a hot August afternoon/evening in air-conditioned
comfort in front of the electric radio. Thanks to George K5TR for letting me
be GEO for a day and work on my rusty SO2R skills. His super station in the
hill country west of Austin played flawlessly.
Thanks for the QSOs and the moves. Attempting QSOs on other bands is a great
part of this contest ... and it seems like more and more folks are able (and
willing) to give it a shot. The successes under marginal conditions give you a
real boost of adrenalin!
