Comments:
My wife and I were in Stowe, VT, for a wedding on Saturday. I had hoped to find
time to get up on Mt. Mansfield (4000 ft ASL at the parking area), but our
schedule simply did not permit. It may have been challenging had I been able,
as the mountain was fogged in most of Saturday.
I did make one qso from the parking lot of the motel on Sunday morning using
the IC-746 and a two meter 5/8 wave vertical, with K1CJ in FN44. I pulled out
the antenna for a few minutes at several stops on the way home, but only heard
W2SZ twice. They heard me not well enough to copy me once, and not at all the
other time. Therefore I remained a single op, single location entry.
